Red Pine Cottage — a private site for Red Pine cottagers.

This policy explains what information Red Pine Cottage collects and how it is used. It is written in plain language for our community and is not legal advice.

What we collect

• Your email address and display name, used to sign you in and identify your posts.
• The cottage (household) you join, so your checklists stay private to your cottage.
• Content you add: photos, videos, captions, trips, and checklist items.
• Basic technical data from our hosting provider needed to run the site securely.

How we use it

• To operate the site and show your content to the right people.
• To send trip reminder emails to signed-in cottagers.
• We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Public vs private content

Your content is visible to signed-in cottagers by default. Anything you mark for the public gallery becomes visible to anyone on the internet. Trip dates are shared among signed-in cottagers so vacations can be coordinated. Checklists and supply lists are private to your cottage.

Where data is stored

The site is hosted on Vercel, and data and photos are stored with Supabase. These providers process data on our behalf to keep the site running.

Your choices

• Keep photos private by leaving the public-gallery option unchecked.
• Edit or delete content you posted.
• Ask an admin to remove your account and content at any time.
